Board of Adjustment
The Board of Adjustment of the Town of Bethany Beach will hold a public meeting on Monday, August 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Bethany Beach Town Hall, 214 Garfield Parkway in Bethany Beach, Delaware. This meeting is a rescheduling of the hearing originally scheduled for March 5, 2020 at the request of the applicants and rescheduled a second time for April 16, 2020 but postponed.
The purpose of the hearing is to consider the following:
An application for a variance, filed by Bruce Mears, Builder for property owners Alan and Karen Kercher for the property identified as Block 112, Lot 12 at 210 Hollywood Street, in the R-1 Residential Zoning District. The applicant is seeking variances from Chapter 425, Appendix 5, Maximum Lot Coverage (%) Trade Off Chart for R-1 and R-1B District for increasing the lot coverage to 40.0% without meeting the chart requirements for that lot coverage (40%) of increased setbacks at the front and/or sides.
The application may be inspected in the office of the Building Inspector, 214 Garfield Parkway, Bethany Beach, Delaware, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except scheduled Holidays.
All interested persons are hereby notified to be present and to attend this hearing where said Board may make a determination on the application, Said Board without further notice may adjourn such hearing from time to time.
The Board may recess for good reason on the announced day and reconvene on another day to continue the hearing; in such a case, the announcement of the date and time of reconvening will constitute sufficient public notice.
